This white goose thinks I might have some food for her. That's because she is hand-fed by park staff every day on account of an abnormality or injury to her beak. Each afternoon, a staff member comes out with a jar of seed, which the staff member fills with water and then lets this little darling drink from it. The goose is standing still as I approach because she thinks it might be mealtime. The ducks nearby in the lagoon are hoping for some food, as well. They are fed by neighborhood mothers and their children who come by after school with bits of bread. In the morning, while the kids are still in school, the ducks wait, eye human visitors, and wonder: Do you have food for me?
