* The Artist's Way book. This will be the main text for the course. It's divided into 12 chapters and we will be working with one chapter per week that we meet. Some of the exercises will be done in class, and some between classes. It will be helpful if you can read the introduction by Julia Cameron before the first meeting. You can purchase the book new or used on Amazon (see the book to the right), other online sellers, or in bookstores. (If you buy it used, be sure to get one that hasn't been written in.)
• A blank notebook. During the course, you will be doing three pages of private, long-hand journaling each morning. These are known as "Morning Pages." A blank notebook will be helpful for that. I find a sketchbook without lines and with slightly heavier paper more to my liking. We will also do some visioning exercises that involves cutting out pictures from magazines and pasting them in the notebook.
• Yourself with an open mind and an open heart. If you've done an Artist's Way course workshop before, you know how powerful they can be. If not, get ready for some personal growth!
